This partition wall was designed with Natalie Madden, and used digital fabrication techniques to reimagine a traditional folding partition wall. The screen is made from two sheets of CNC’ed plywood, with routed out holes for each acrylic flower to sandwich in-between. A custom frame lines each panel to hide the plywood sheets within. Custom joints connect each panel, which allow for the panels to easily separate if necessary and allow for 270 degree rotation so that each panel can fold either direction or fold flat upon itself. Coming in sets of 3 or 4 panels, each set can be rotated or inverted to allow for different pattern configurations, as well as different lengths. Each set connects on the ends with simple clips, and have a ribbon for decoration where the panels clip together.
